About Myself

I have a BSc. (Honours) Degree in Multimedia Web Development from Dundalk Institute of Technology. I've gained valuable experience from a Final Year Group Project for an external company, a work placement, an internship, and various personal projects including a family wedding video! I have become versed in various programming languages and development platforms, web design techniques, CMS Systems, and image and video manipulation.

Unfortunately, I've been told there's more to life than a well made website or slick new design. To fill that void, I have an interest in a variety of sport, reading, gaming and travel.

I currently work as part of a investigate and solve any issues directly and indirectly related to the Murex Application, both technical and financial. I test and deploy internal updates to the Murex Application, and investigate and solve issues related the overnight Batch process for the Investment Bank. Learn more about Murex.

Business Platforms Intern

I completed an eight week internship on the Business Platforms team within ACIA. I was heavily involved with managing and modifying Aon's colleague website and database. As part of the internship team project, we created a web application which interacted with Amazon's web services.

During my college work experience with Ryco I assisted in the design and development process of client websites. I also used CMS systems to manage client websites, created a website using the Laravel Framework, and visited clients to teach and aid them with managing their website and database infrastructure.

Telecommunications Company Data Visualisation Tool

College Final Year Group Project

September 2016 - May 2017

For our Final Year college group project we created a data visualisation tool for an external telecommunications company. Using a combination of JavaScript libraries, other online libraries, a MySQL database and a modern user centred design, we created a compelling tool which this company can use for years. Great team-work, delegation, communication and professionalism helped us succeed with this project.

I had an instrumental role in providing hospitality to guests as a waiter and barman. With skill and experience, I became a member of senior staff to which other staff and management could rely on. Being a team-player, ability to problem-solve under pressure, combined with excellent people skills and unmatched work ethic has helped me succeed in this role.

I worked in the Intercontinental Boston while on a J1 work and travel visa to the USA. We catered for locals, business men and women, and tourists of all nationalities. Understanding the individual needs and requirements of each customer, the ability to multi-task, and hotel catering experience helped me succeed in this role.
